DVCCC PHOTO TRAVEL CIRCUIT

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

The DVCCC Photo Travel Circuit is open to all photographers around the world. However, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media relating to the exhibitions. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyrights. The digital images for this Exhibition may be acquired digitally, or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file.

By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication on an Internet Website and/or display in media related to the exhibition. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright by the entrant.

COMPETITION DIVISION:

PSA’s Photo Travel Division

SECTIONS:

There will be two Sections. Both sections must meet the Photo Travel Division criteria. The criteria is a Photo Travel image that must express the feeling of a time and place, portray a land, its people, or a culture in its natural state, and has no geographical limitations. Ultra close-ups which lose their identity, studio-type model shots, or photographic manipulations that misrepresent the true situation or alter the content of the image are unacceptable in Photo Travel competition. No elements may be moved, cloned, added, deleted, rearranged or combined. No manipulation or modification is permitted except resizing, cropping, selective lightening or darkening, and restoration of original color of the scene. No special effect filters can be applied. Any sharpening must appear natural. The judges will be read the criteria before the start of judging.

To compete for the Local Novices Sliver Metal this year all entrants Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Ne w Jersey are eligible with the exception of those members having a PSA PTD Star.

B.    PHOTO TRAVEL -- THEME

The photo travel theme for the DVCCC 2011 Circuit is Structures. Images must meet the photo travel image criteria above. The images may be of outside or inside of religious buildings, municipal buildings, towers, bridges, cave dwellings and other dwellings..

4. ENTRY FORM:

All pictures must be submitted electronically. The Entry Form is available on this Website

Judging will be done by projecting images on a screen with an Electronic Projector at a resolution of 1024 X 768 set to 16.7 million colors. In each section the entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout three rounds of judging.

Three judges will be used with a score from each judge ranging from 2 to 9. The sum of the three scores will be used to determine acceptance. Each Image will have a Minimum score 6, Maximum Score 27.

The Entry Fee is 13 USD for one section and 18 USD for both sections. This fee structure is the same for both the United States of America and over seas entries. PayPal or Cash USD must be used to make payment. Checks and money orders must be in U.S. funds on a U.S. Bank. Checks shall be made out to: DVCCC and sent to:

Entries received without fee will not be judged and will not be sent any results. Fee must be received by

ACCEPTANCE RESULTS: The scores, acceptances and awards for each person entering will be sent following each of the three exhibitions. After all three Exhibits have been compiled a catalog will be produced listing the acceptance and awards given for each image. The information of which images received acceptances will be sent to PSA Photo Travel Star Rating Director.
